[Music] welcome to the Holy Land and this biblical site of the Eastern Gate here you

can see behind me the Eastern Gate and the Eastern Gate is one of the eight gates to the old city of Jerusalem and it plays a role of one of the most significant Gates of the old city so with this biblical site we’ll be looking at the location of this place and why that’s so important we’ll talk about the historical background of this location we’ll be looking at some of the amazing places of interest at this site we’ll see the key events in the Bible that took place here and we’ll end with a faith lesson in order to learn the major lessons God desires from us at this important biblical site so I think you’ll find this video very enlightening and transforming to your life now why is this gate so important well it contains a number of prophecies that have been fulfilled and will be fulfilled it played a key role in the Bible all the way from the time of Solomon Hezekiah Nehemiah the time of Christ and up to modern day times it provides powerful evidence that the Temple Mount is the actual place where the temple once stood and we will reveal overwhelming EV evidence as to why the temple once stood exactly over the location where the Dome of the Rock stands today so this Eastern Gate is vital in understanding the location of the temple the Temple Mount and prophecy and all the events that have happened throughout scripture so I think you’ll find this video very very enlightening now let’s first talk about the location of the Eastern Gate the Eastern Gate is located on the Eastern side of the Temple Mount and faces the m of Olives the current old city of Jerusalem is surrounded by a wall containing eight major Gates and we’ll just look at them going from right to left or clockwise so we have the Eastern Gate that we’ll be talking about in this video and it’s also called the Golden Gate the shushan gate the Gate of Mercy the Eternal gate and then sometimes referenced as the beautiful gate although we’ll talk about that in a bit and then we have on the south side of the Temple Mount we have the southern stairs although there’s no gate there today so that really doesn’t count then we have the dung gate the Zion gate the Jaffa gate the new gate the Damascus gate herod’s gate and then the Lion’s gate or also so called Steven’s gate and then we’re back around to the Eastern Gate so there’s eight Gates today around the old walls of Jerusalem now the Eastern Gate is unique in that it is sealed shut we’ll be talking about that in a bit as well now it’s the oldest gate in the old city and it’s the oldest gate around the walls so it once again goes back to the time of possibly Solomon or at least Hezekiah and from that time moving forward now let’s talk about the historical background and this is going to be some fascinating history of seeing what has taken place and all about this Eastern Gate so the original Eastern Gate was built by Solomon or at a later date by Hezekiah we don’t exactly know for certain but it dates back to this early first temple period we call it now there’s ancient post located ins inside this Eastern Gate today along with the stones beside the Gate of the eastern wall that date back to this first temple period or this time of Solomon and Hezekiah and so this affirms that the Eastern Gate had an early existence and that its location is at this exact present day site then we know that Nehemiah rebuilt the Eastern Gate when he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in 444 4 BC now some believe the original gate was then named the Eastern Gate by Nehemiah at this time then later Herod the Great rebuilt the Eastern Gate in around 19 BC and added a Stairway or rebuilt an existing one that led up to this Eastern Gate now this stairway ran alongside the eastern wall in the 1860s Charles Ward discovered an outer wall that enclosed the stairway that led up to the Eastern Gate that Herod the Great had built the best evidence suggests that the gate was then rebuilt During the umad period That’s from about 661 to 750 ad on the foundations of the earlier gate dating to the time of Solomon or Hezekiah part of the gate from this time period has been preserved as mentioned the remains of two massive ancient gate posts are preserved inside this gate these Gate Post are situated in the same line as the eastern wall of the Temple Mount they also line up with the lower massive stone masonry on both sides of the Golden Gate and you can see here this massive stone masonry that dates back to the time of the first temple period these gate post along with the masonary sections of the eastern wall suggest that they are all part of the same construction the upper part of the Southern Gate Post is level with the top of the ancient stone masonry that can be seen south of the Golden Gate the gate post in the northern part of the Eastern Gate is one stone course higher and is located just one stone course lower than the surface of the Temple Mount these two ancient gate posts belong to the gate dating back to the first temple period which is most likely the shushan gate that is mentioned in the mishna midot in 1.3 this gate was the only gate in the eastern wall at that time so once again this gate and these evidences these ancient Gate Post these masonry m of stones all date back to the first temple period which would be Hezekiah maybe as early as Solomon but at least Hezekiah Nehemiah that time period there I should mention the first temple period dated from the time of Solomon which was about 950 BC until the destruction by the Babylonians in 586 BC that’s the first temple period the second temple period began with zerbel rebuilding building the Altar and Temple again in around 535 BC and ending with its destruction in 70 AD by the Romans even though Herod the Great rebuilt the second temple significantly it is still considered part of the second temple period the current gate that is seen today was rebuilt by sulon the magnificent in around 1541 ad and was built on the foundations of the Earth earlier Gates the Eastern Gates outer facade today consist of two blocked up gateways decorated with detailed carved relief arches the original gate was thought to have been discovered in 1969 by Dr James Fleming and was believed to be east of the current Eastern Gate a bit and about 8 ft or 2.5 M lower however after significant research and archaeological work was done and analyzed it appears what Dr Fleming found were arches of a Stairway that led up to the Eastern Gate that Herod the Great built inside the Eastern Gate are ancient post once again that date back to the first temple period these reveal that the level of the current Eastern Gate is relatively the same as it has always been so the Eastern Gate originally was not not down beneath the current Eastern Gate now the Bedrock beneath the Eastern Gate Rises sharply upwards from the Kidron Valley to the Temple Mount so this would make it very unlikely or virtually impossible that the original Eastern Gate was beneath the current one as the Bedrock would be in the way and would have prevented this moreover the stones of the arch that were discovered by Dr Fleming are herodian which are much later than the original Eastern Gate so this would also make it unlikely the arch that was discovered was part of the top of the Eastern Gate again it is now believ by reputable archaeologists that what Dr Fleming discovered was one of the arches of the stairway leading up to the Eastern Gate that Herod built this stairway again was built by Herod so the stone type that was found would match the same time period as well however it should be noted that what Dr Fleming discovered does provide more evidence that the Eastern Gate’s current location is accurate now the Eastern Gate gives the most direct access to the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives now the Eastern Gate is also unique in that it is shut up it is sealed up today now why is that the case some commentators see the Eastern Gates obstruction or closing up as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy so this closure and opening of the Eastern Gate goes as such closed by the Muslims in 810 ad and reopened in 1102 by Crusaders it was walled up by saladine after regaining Jerusalem in 1187 and then the ottoman Sultan sulon the Magnificent rebuilt it together with the city walls but walled it up in 1541 and it stayed that way until today it is believed that the reason for the closing of the Eastern Gate was to prevent the Jewish Messiah from Gaining entrance to Jerusalem Muslims also put a cemetery directly in front of the gate believing that the Messiah being a good Jew would not walk through it and become unclean in doing so however whatever Christ touches becomes clean so walking through a cemetery is no problem for the Messiah now Jewish tradition states that the Messiah will pass through the Eastern Gate when he comes to rule for Christians Christ already did this at his first coming and will do it again at his second coming though it is formerly called the Eastern Gate it is also known as we mentioned as the Golden Gate the Gate of eternal life the the mercy gate the Shan gate and sometimes as the beautiful gate scripture says in Acts 3 1-10 that the beautiful gate was one of the gates of the temple this would make the nicanor gate the best candidate for being the beautiful gate so the beautiful gate was not really the Eastern Gate the beautiful gate that scripture talks about was the nicanor gate now some believe the Eastern Gate was in direct Al alignment with the gate into the outer Court inner court and main entrance doors of the temple so in other words they believe that the Eastern Gate lined up perfectly with the entrances into the temple and into the sanctuary this belief comes from a misunderstanding of a writing in midot 24 which is part of the Jewish Mna that says all the walls there were high save only the eastern wall because the high priest that burns the red hepher and stands on top of the mountain of Olives should be able to look directly into the entrance of the sanctuary when the blood is sprinkled however the view from the top of the Mount of Olives through the Eastern Gate would only allow one to see the ground because the gate is lower than the temple and Temple Mount so this presents an impossibility as you cannot look from a higher elevation through a lower gate and then see something that is higher than that gate therefore a line of vision from the top of the Mount of Olives through the Golden Gate or Eastern Gate makes it impossible to see anything on the Temple Mount let alone the temple therefore it appears that what was meant in the writing of midot 24 referred to the Nicor gate this was an outer gate of the temple complex from the top top of the Mount of Olives one could easily look directly through the nicanor gate and see the sanctuary therefore the Eastern Gate was not in alignment with the temple as some suggest the original Temple has very strong evidence that it was on the exact location where the Dome of the Rock stands today and we’ll be showing you evidence about this some also believe that during the time of Christ according to the Misha which is a collection of Jewish oral laws there was a bridge or Causeway that led out of the Temple Mount Eastward over the Kidron Valley from the Eastern Gate and extended as far as the Mount of Olives the Hebrew word for cosway is caves which is usually translated as ramp not as Bridge it is very unlikely there was a major Causeway or Bridge spanning the Kidron Valley and as it would have been massive in size extremely difficult to build and expensive this Causeway mention is most likely referring to the stairway leading up to the Eastern Gate that ran alongside the side of the eastern wall that King Herod the Great built however if there would have been a Causeway or bridge that did exist it would have been on a much smaller scale it should also be mentioned that archaeological evidence supporting the Eastern Gate as being authentic provides strong evidence that the original Temple was located on the current Temple Mount Additionally the ancient stones of the eastern wall date back to the first temple period and they validate the Temple’s location as well so let’s take a moment and clarify and summarize these key places of interest we have been talking about so we have the Eastern Gate here we’ve been talking about out then we have these ancient Gate Post okay we can see these here inside the Eastern Gate and they date back to the first temple period then we have this ancient stone masonry on each side of the Eastern Gate that dates back to the first temple period as well so what I want to say here is that these ancient Gate Post this ancient masonry dates back to the time of Solomon or hezek AA so this is going way back and this is the original Stones so there was something here for a long time now some would suggest that this was later built it was the Antonia Fortress built by Herod or Romans or whatever but these Stones show otherwise there was something here and this Eastern Gate was here so this gives strong evidence that the temple was right here on the Temple Mount and not somewhere else like in the city of David or something like that then we have the eastern wall and this eastern wall King Herod the Great when he enlarged the Temple Mount he did not change the location of the eastern wall he refortified it but he did not move it or change it then we have the stairway that King Herod built or maybe he rebuilt leading up to the Eastern Gate here then we have this outer wall encompassing the stairway that Herod built or refortified that Charles waren discovered in the 1860s then we have the Temple Mount then we have the nicanor gate and then we have the original location of the temple we have strong evidence for that we have the inner and outer courts of the temple we have the Mount of Olives from which we’re filming this and then the other Gates of the old city of Jerusalem that we’ve already talked about so now what we’re going to do is we’re going to take a moment and we’re going to show you strong long archaeological evidence that shows that the temple was right here on the Temple Mount and was right where the Dome of the Rock is located today so let’s go down to the Temple mount for a bit and look at this evidence now let’s start with the location of this site and I must tell you that I am really excited to share with you some archaeological discoveries that reveal the location of solom zerbel and hezekiah’s original Temple and Temple platform along with the expansion of the Hasan and Herod the Great’s Temple Mount platform now when we refer to the Temple Mount platform what we mean is the square box-like shape upon which the temple was built we must understand that the temple was built upon Mount Mariah of which we’ll talk more in a bit in order to build a structure upon the top of the mountain a large Foundation needed to be built first it is this Foundation that is referred to as the Temple Mount platform now I should mention that there are some today who claim the temple was located in the city of David and use some Bible verses and evidences to support their claims now while we have other videos that answer this issue in detail I will just State one Bible account that reveals the temple was not in the city of David scripture clearly states that at the dedication of the temple that Solomon built in First Kings 7 and8 and 2 Chronicles 4:5 that the Ark of the Covenant was brought out of the city of David to the temple and then permanently was housed at the temple Solomon built from then on if the ark was brought out of the city of David to the temple that Solomon built then the temple could not have been in the city of David we have other videos that deal in great detail about the location of the Temple Mount and Temple that is based on scripture archaeology historical records eyewitness accounts and physical evidences that can still be seen today if you’d like to take a look at these videos so now let’s look at some amazing evidence that shows us the EXA act location of the original Temple Mount platform and its expansions by the hasmoneans and Herod the Great we begin at the northwest corner of the platform that was built in 691 ad by the Muslims upon which they built the Dome of the Rock and you can see this platform here today this platform was not part of the original Temple Mount platform and was added specifically for the Dome of the Rock it has eight stairways leading up to this platform and each stairway has arches at the top of the stairway all these stairways are perfectly aligned with the platform except the Northwest stairway interestingly it is not aligned with the platform at all but instead is aligned with the eastern wall of the Temple Mount platform also what is really fascinating about this stair way is the bottom step it is made up of large stones that are completely different from the others these stones are from an entirely different time period and are much larger than any stones on the stairway this is evidenced by what is called the boss outline of the stones a boss is the carved outline around the edge of a stone that is cut away to give it a more pleasing and aesthetic look today the boss of these Stones has been filled in by a new layer of tiles however we have photos from 1972 that show the boss of these Stones over the centuries different kinds of Boss shapes were used in different periods for example the boss shapes during Solomon Hezekiah Ezra hasmonean and herodian periods all have their unique shape shapes the boss shape of these stones on the bottom step of this Northwest stairway is from Solomon or hezekiah’s period these stones are also close to the Bedrock of Mount Mariah which is the mountain upon which God ordered Abraham to sacrifice Isaac upon which David built an altar and upon which the original Temple was built these Stones strongly suggest that they formed part of the original Temple Mount platform of Solomon or hezekiah’s time also at the North End of these stones that make up the first step of the stairway a corner is formed a corner can be seen which goes Eastward toward the eastern wall now at this point I’d like to introduce you to a couple leading archaeologist one is Lane ritm who has worked as an AR archaeologist on this Temple mount for around 50 years and he is considered the leading expert another is Joel Kramer these are both leading archaeologists and much of this information that we are using we want to give credit to Lan ripm for his discoveries so now I want you to hear what Joel Kramer says about these steps in this corner section here but but anyways I know lane lane has continued digging here and in Jordan as well and and he serves as architect so he points out he really is the expert on the um Temple and I I do highly recommend his uh material and uh and so he points out this this wall line right here now remember when you’re looking at walls or masonry you see them from different periods do you see how different these stones are right on this line right here than than the other ones these are very old mhm and so he has identified this as a wall line from Solomon’s Temple okay now according to the Misha which is Jewish writings about different aspects of Jewish laws Customs measurements and so forth it tells us that the original Temple Mount platform measured 500 cubits Square using the Royal Cubit which was the universal measurement of these times it would be 861 ft or 262.50 M in length amazingly the measurement from the corner of this preh herodian Stone step is exactly 861 ft or [Music] 262.50 platform this Northern edge of the original Temple Mount platform also is in line with the current Dome of the Rock platform additional evidence of a preh herodian wall can be found underground as well by sistern 29 there is a rock carving where you can see underground the face of this wall now considering these factors we now have strong evidence of where the northern wall of the 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform is next we come to the eastern wall just north of where the northern wall of the 500 Cubit Mount platform meets the eastern wall we find an offset in the Wall located 68 ft or 20.73% for protection purposes we also see by this Eastern Gate area ancient stones with the kind of Boss shapes that go back to Solomon or hezekiah’s period it should be mentioned that the eastern wall location was never changed during the entire history of the Temple mount it was just added on to and repaired this is so because of the Kidron Valley and its steep decline on this side so again these ancient Stones reveal that the Eastern side of the 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform dates back to the time of Solomon or Hezekiah now measuring from this intersection where the northern wall meets the eastern wall we see a curious Bend in the wall at exactly 861 ft or 262 m M so the Eastern side from the intersection of the northern wall measuring 861 ft or 262.50 Cubit Temple Mount platform During the hasmonean period in around 164 BC the hasmonean period briefly was when the Jews reconquered their land and took control back of the temple and Jerusalem now their construction used a slightly different angle than the original platform did also there is a change in the stone style the stones after the bend have a boss shape that dates to the hasmonean period the stone positioning and configurations also indicate a corner was once located at this Bend in the wall this archaeological evidence reveals that this point was the corner of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform again this section of the eastern wall measures exactly 861 ft or 2 62.4 m which is 500 cubits next we’ll look at the southern wall of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform measuring 8503 ft or 260 M from the southeast corner of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform which has the bend in the wall we come to the entrance of Barclay’s gate this gate was built later by Herod and was budded up against the Southern Wall of the original 500 cubit Temple Mount platform now this slightly different measurement of 853 ft or 260 M amounts to less than 1% and was probably the result that the two corners could not be seen due to the elevation of Mount Mariah that was between them so once again this is a very slight variation the Western wall section of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform form can be located by establishing the corners of the Northwest and southwest corners and this measures exactly 861 ft or 262.50 Cubit Temple Mount platform so in summary we see over overwhelming evidence of the original 500 Cubit Square Temple Mount platform it should be noted that we can also see the evidence of the hasmonean and herodian additions to the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform as well in around 141 BC as we’ve mentioned the hasmoneans added a section to the southern part of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform again this can be seen in the bend in the eastern wall and the different Stone styles used sometime later in around 19 BC Herod the Great embarked on a massive expansion of the Temple Mount platform Josephus a Jewish historian living around the time of Christ speaks of how he doubled the size of what the Temple Mount was after the hasmal naan expansion he enlarged it to the South West and North today we see this evidence all throughout the expansion sections one key place is the expansion of the southern part of the eastern wall there is a notable seam in the wall that reveals herod’s expansion which was added onto the hasmonean expansion this seam clearly shows the change from the hasmonean to herodian Stone Stone Styles the location and configurations between the hasmonean and herodian Stones show this was once a corner also the herodian stones along the western wall section speak of herod’s expansion on this side additionally at the northern wall of the Temple Mount are holes in the wall that show where a portico was once located again the eastern wall of the original 500 Cubit Temple Mount platform was never changed it was just added onto and repaired and we know that the eastern wall was never changed because we see these original ancient Stones dating back to Solomon and Hezekiah in this time period again it was repaired and added on to it and that’s why Stones above on the eastern wall are different in style smaller in shape than the ones down at the base like lastly the location of the original temples can also be established with certainty inside the Dome of the Rock is the highest point of Mount Mariah on this massive Stone we can see a cutout square that once housed the Ark of the Covenant and its measurements are the exact size of the Ark of the Covenant and to the sides of this Square the foundation of the holy of holies can be seen it should be noted that the altar that David purchased from Aruna the jebusite was just east of the top of the mountain in a flatter area so it was just down below where the high point of Mount Mariah was where the holy of holies was here you can see where the altar would have been located in relation to the Rock inside the Dome of the Rock so all of this evidence just reveals the location of the original Temple Mount platform and then the temple that Solomon built and then zerbel built and then Herod the Great renovated now let’s talk about the Eastern Gate in the Bible and this is very very special all that took place here so now we’re coming to the biblical aspect of what happened here very very important it is the likely gate the ashes of the red hepher sacrifice were carried through and then deposited in a clean place outside the city they so they would go outside the Eastern Gate down through the Kidron Valley over the Mount of Olives and then cast it somewhere out into a clean place then the glory of the Lord left the temple right here through the Eastern Gate because of Israel’s disobedience in Ezekiel 10:18 it says the prophet sees the glory of the Lord leave the temple through the entrance of the Eastern Gate of the Lord’s House the glory then moves East of the city to the Mount of Olives and that’s where we’re filming this right now it’s from the Mount of Olives so at that particular time the glory left and it came here to the mountain of Olives then it says in Ezekiel 11:23 and the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city and stood on the mountain that is on the east of the city which would be the Mount of Olives so right here the glory of the Lord came out of the temple and then went up here to the Mount of so there was this departure from the temple prophesied because of Israel’s Disobedience then it says that the glory of the Lord will return to the temple at Christ’s Second Coming says in Ezekiel 43 1-5 then he led me to the gate the gate Facing East this is the Eastern Gate and behold the glory of the god of Israel was coming from the East and the sound of his coming was like the sound of many Waters and and the Earth Shone with his glory and the vision I saw was like the vision that I had seen when he came to destroy the city and just like the vision that I had seen by the chabar canal and I fell on my face as the glory of the Lord entered the temple by the gate Facing East the spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court and behold the glory of the Lord filled the temple so this is believed this happens at Christ second coming and we can see by this imagery and this power that it is the second coming then we see in Zachariah 14:4 on that day talking about when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the East and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide Valley so that one half of the mount shall move northward and the other half Southward so this is amazing these Prophecies of what will be taking place right here when Jesus entered Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives on Palm Sunday or the triumphal entry he most likely used this Eastern Gate right here so can you just imagine Christ coming right through here at this Eastern Gate and he will return here at the end of the tribulation when when he comes back in power and great glory and fills the temple here that will be built the Eastern Gate is the gate that Jesus would have entered and exited through repeatedly so Jesus went right through that Eastern Gate on a repeated occasion and it is through the Eastern Gate that Jesus would have ridden the donkey in a humble fashion as he entered onto the Temple Mount coming down from the Mount of Olives on the triumphal entry then we see more about the triumphal entry here it says in Luke 1937-38 as he was drawing near already on the way down the Mount of Olives the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen saying blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord peace in heaven and glory in the highest so this takes place right here on the triumphal entry on the down slope of the Mount of Olives before you go through the Kidron Valley then up through the Eastern Gate Luke 19:45 says and he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold saying to them it is written my house shall be a House of Prayer but you have made it a den of robbers so here we see this triumphal entry he comes down the Mount of Olives and then right afterwards he enters the Temple and so that’s why we believe that that the Eastern Gate is the place that Christ would have went through when he went into the temple and cleansed it and that when he was in Jerusalem and ministered the last week of his life before he was crucified he went in and out of the Eastern Gate regularly because he stayed on the Mount of Olives that’s where he would spend the night then during the day he would go through the Eastern Gate again and Minister on the Temple Mount around the temple area okay well we wanted to take take you up here close to this Eastern Gate so we’ve crossed over the Kidron Valley and now here we’re close to the Eastern Gate here so I’m going to walk on up here just really close to the Eastern Gate and I guess the main thing I want to say here is that it’s really moving to just think of the reality that right through here is where Jesus uh came in in the triumphal entry uh right here he passed through the Eastern Gate on a regular occasion the Eastern Gate had Direct access to the temple so it’s just moving to think about Christ being right here I mean if I could go back 2,000 years in history and I’m standing right here I would see just right below me with a great view I would see Jesus on regular occasion and especially at the triumphal entry as he came in I would also see uh Peter and John as they came up here uh to pray and then healed this lame man just right behind me just a little ways inside here anyway just wanted to get you up close close to this Eastern Gate and to show you just from a bird’s eye real close view of what it’s like here then the beautiful gate most likely the nicanor gate as we have mentioned was where Peter and John healed a lame man and it’s likely that they entered through the Eastern Gate to go to the nicanor gate says in Acts 3 1-10 now Peter and John went up together to the temple at The Hour of Prayer the ninth hour the n9th hour would be 3 in the afternoon and a certain man lay from his mother’s womb was carried whom they laid daily at the Gate of the temple so this is the Gate of the temple not the Eastern Gate but the Gate of the temple We Believe which is called beautiful so this is the beautiful gate we believe is the Nicor gate because this is was the most beautiful gate at the entrance by the temple to ask alms from those who enter the temple sing Peter and John about to go into the temple so once again this beautiful gate is right where they were about to go into the temple so again we believe it’s the Nicor gate he asked to receive Ms and Peter directed his gaze at him as did John and said look at us and he fixed his attention on them this lame man fixed his attention on them expecting to receive something from them some money but Peter said I have no silver and gold but but what I do have I give to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk and he took him by the right hand and raised him up and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong and leaping up he stood and began to walk and entered the temple with them walking and leaping and praising God and all the people saw him walking and praising God and recognized him as the one who sat at the beautiful gate of the temple asking for alms and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him and as a result of that Miracle of the lame man getting healed there were 5,000 people that came to Christ on that occasion so we see here at this Eastern Gate different events taking place we see that Jesus uh comes into it it’s prophesied the gate will be opened Jesus comes into it then it’s prophesied that the gate will be shut and then it’s shut after Christ comes and then it’s prophesied that it will be open again and that’s belied that at the end times when Christ comes at the end of the tribulation that he will once again go through the Eastern Gate so this Eastern Gate is a real important gate because it has the direct access right to the temple now what are some Faith lessons that we can learn from this Eastern Gate and the things that happened here well the Eastern Gate has witnessed many prophecies being fulfilled the Eastern Gate witnessed Christ riding into it on a donkey the Eastern Gate witnessed Peter and John going up to the temple healing a lame man the Eastern Gate witnessed the early church being born the Eastern Gate witnessed the growth of the early church it was on the Temple Mount where the early church met the Eastern Gate will witness Christ Second Coming the Eastern Gate will witness when Christ pours out his wrath in the valley of Jehoshaphat which is just below the Eastern Gate so the e E Gate has seen many prophecies fulfilled and the Eastern Gate will still see many prophecies to be fulfilled so prophecy plays a key role in believing and trusting in God’s word and it’s said that somewhere around 200 prophecies were prophesied concerning Christ’s first coming and about 200 concerning his second coming so if the 200 prophecies have been fulfilled in detail we can rest fully assured that the 200 prophecies yet to come will be fulfilled as well so I hope that you have enjoyed this video and I hope that you can place a greater weight in scripture and you can have a greater appreciation for what the Eastern Gate has seen and what it will see and that you will be with Christ when he comes back in power and great glory and touches down right here on the Mount of Olives and you will be a Victorious believer so be encouraged uh God bless you thank you for watching and God bless [Music] h
