This is eastern Turkey and that’s the Ararat region where over 4,000 years ago the Bible says Noah’s [music] ark landed.

And more significantly is this.
Today, a formation in the ground about 20 mi south [music] shaped like a ship’s hole, which many believe is the buried remains of Noah’s ark.
In fact, the Daily Mail just ran a headline claiming that it’s been 100% [music] confirmed, but others say it’s nothing more than a hoax and has been publicly debunked for 30 years.
It is almost certainly not Noah’s arc.
It’s true.
All of it.
And God is choosing to reveal himself.
And this fight about the formation has been running [music] since 1959.
And now a team is drilling deeper into it than anyone ever has to confirm what it is one way or the other.
But this whole story is so much stranger than it seems on the surface.
It started in 1959 when a Turkish army captain was reviewing some photos from a NATO aerial survey and noticed something strange in one of the frames.
It was this odd shape in the ground near the mountains of Ararat that looked like a giant ship.
And when people measured it against the size of Noah’s boat in the Bible, the numbers surprised them.
Uh, it measures roughly 515 ft in length, matching the dimensions described in Genesis chapter 6 when calculated using the Egyptian cubit.
And in 1985, that was enough for the man that they call the father of Turkish archaeology to look at this site and say, “It is a ship, an ancient ship, and it must be preserved.”
So, you have this ship-shaped hill in the length of the ark, and it’s sitting in the region that the Bible claims that Noah’s ark landed.
All they needed now was confirmation.
And that’s where a team called Noah’s Arc Scans comes in.
They’ve been trying to confirm it by running ground penetrating radar over the formation.
And their lead researcher claims that the scans picked up something strange down there.
[music] We’re finding below the ground about 4 m down uh corridors uh these tunnels that are going straight down the middle of the boat and on the inside edge of the ship shape and then they’re leading to a central uh cavity uh I call it the atrium.
However, the team also put in their press release that the radar anomalies alone do not prove an archaeological [music] origin.
And they’re right about that.
The radar can tell you shapes, but it can’t tell you whether those shapes are man-made [music] or just rock.
If you want to have something more testable, you have to get inside of the soil.
[music] So, they did.
They pulled 88 soil samples from inside and outside the ship shape to see if they could confirm it that way.
And [music] the soil inside came back with about three times the organic matter which they believe points to [music] something organic like a wooden ship decaying underneath.
And then they brought in this man Dr.
Hosro Batar.
And Batar spent his career doing subsurface detection for the US military.
The kind of scanner that finds cardinal tunnels and buried weapons.
So he ran his own radar system over the site and he said that in 40 years of his career he’s never [music] seen anything like it.
He claimed that the recordings found no bedrock, no solid rock floor where a natural hill should have one.
And blown away by this, he handed the team a set of drilling coordinates.
And this September, they started the drilling.
And this is where it starts to get wild.
But before we get into that, we have to take a second to thank the sponsor of today’s video, Cove Pure.
So, take a look at this.
If you put your zip code into this site, you can see what’s hidden in your water.
So, I looked up a place that my family spends a lot of time each year, and this is what came back.
Five things over the health guideline and every one of them is flagged for cancer.
And one of them in particular, halo acetic acids, is 1,000 times over health guidelines.
And what really gets me about this is that it’s perfectly legal.
But legal does not mean safe.
And worse, [snorts] if you scroll down, the only thing that gets all five of these out is reverse osmosis, which is why I use Cove Pure because it’s certified to remove up to 99.9% of contaminants.
It’s a reverse osmosis purifier that sits on your counter and you don’t need a plumber or drilling or anything like that.
You can just plug it in and it also has other features I like how you can get any temperature instantly, including hot water.
So, my wife’s been using it for tea every night and the purity reading is right there on the screen so you’re not just taking their word for it.
The older I get, I realized that clean drinking water is one of the best investments that you can make for your family’s health.
And Cove Pure is giving my audience $250 off for a limited time if you use my link covepure.com/me.

And now let’s get back to the video.
So after Petar gave him the coordinates, their team got to work.
They drilled 12 holes inside of the boat shape and some of them 60 ft deep.
They also drilled control holes outside of it so that a lab could compare what’s underneath the formation to the ordinary mountain side around it.
[music] But as they started drilling one of the holes, the drill was stopped.
In one of the voids 5 m [music] down, the core drilling bit hit a layer so hard the drill broke.
Now understand something.
These core drills are designed to penetrate through hard and [music] rock surfaces.
But petrified wood has almost three times the hardness and density [music] of limestone.
Although we can’t confirm this until lab testing is complete, but we believe we have hit a floor [music] of petrified wood within the ark.
Now whether that layer was really petrified wood or just very hard rock, that’s not something that anyone standing on that mountain can settle.
It has to get settled in a lab.
And according to the team, that’s where this is going next.
Next, we sent in Gopher to see what’s inside.
The cores from the Ark go to the lab this winter.
This means that after 67 years, the argument finally has a deadline and they believe that this will change history.
This is the only study done at the Durupanar Formation that can irrefutably prove that this is the resting place of Noah’s Arc.
The team’s marketing director said core drilling has begun and the Big Bang evolutionists are already on damage control mode.
And keep in mind, that’s the same team that said that nothing can be confirmed until the testing is [music] complete.
And although there are atheists pushing back, the people pushing back the hardest aren’t atheists at all.
A few months ago, the biblical scholar Wes Huff shared his thoughts about the site altogether when he wrote, “So this whole Noah’s Arc discovery, yeah, it’s not legit.
If we could deal with reality for just a moment and suspend what a lot of people want to be true rather than what is true, [music] pretty much everything about the facts coming out of this story are embroiled in sensationalism [music] and noncredible archaeology.”
He went on to say that he believes that there was a Noah and an arc, but the formation almost certainly is not it.
And he’s not alone.
Even answers in Genesis, the largest creationist organization in the world, the people whose entire ministry is defending [music] the ark is history, looked at the formation and said the same thing.
Noah’s ark has been found.
We certainly don’t believe it has actually.
And when it comes to the soil, their geologist has an explanation for it that has nothing to do with the ship.
He said [music] that the formation is shaped like a bowl.
Bowls collect rainwater and soil that gets more water grows more plants, which is why you have more organic matter in the dirt in the first place.
So, no ark required.
Okay, but what about the size of the formation lining up perfectly with the Bible’s description?
Well, when it comes to this point, there’s a catch.
The length does work if you use the Egyptian cubit, but the Bible gives a width, [music] too.
And the formation is way wider than that.
It’s actually described being more like a rectangular box shape in scripture [music] than a boat shape.
So, the people that you’d expect to be defending this the loudest are actually the ones that are warning [music] you off of it.
And then there’s the part that no one online arguing about this site seems to know.
Back in 1988, another team already drilled it in hopes [music] of verifying the same thing.
They were Christians led by a scientist named John Bombgardner who thought this really might be the ark and [music] got Turkeykey’s permission to find out.
That August, he sent an update from the field saying, “We succeeded.
Praise God.
In drilling four holes to a depth of 10 meters.
Then the same letter continues by [music] saying there was for example no evidence for wood petrified or otherwise and what the drill hit at 5 m was quote layered bedrock [music] and the layers matched those in road cuts along the road half a mile to the west meaning that it was the same ordinary rock as the hillside of the road.
So he concluded that the shape was made by mud flowing around a body of rock rather than a ship.
And why this is so relevant is because the test that everyone is waiting on, it already ran and it changed the mind of the believer leading it.
Okay, but hold on for a second because the team knows about those 1988 cores.
In fact, they have them published on their website for everyone to see.
And if that’s the case, then why are they drilling again today?
Well, they believe that it was a botched job.
They say that water soaked those old samples, so the test results can’t be trusted.
But Bombgardner’s biggest finding wasn’t a test on a sample.
It was what happened while he was drilling.
Because at 5 m down, his drill was grinding through solid layered rock.
And wet or dry, rock is still rock.
So if he really did hit more rock, it’s still down there.
And the new team’s drill is headed straight for it.
And that’s the bet that makes this winner different from every arc headline of the last 67 years.
If those labs find cut wood or traces of tar down there, this becomes one of the biggest archaeological discoveries ever made.
But if those corridors and rooms keep turning out to be regular rock, then this site is done for the second time now.
And if the results come [music] back fuzzy, then we’re right back to arguing.
But for some people, the lab was never the point because for them, this was really never about a hill and turkey.
It was about whether or not the whole story is true.
They’re not going to find that because that is a literary creation.
There are no data that support the notion that anyone ever built a boat to survive a global flood and to repopulate all of the human and animal life on the earth.
What are they going to find?
They’re going to find that the Bible’s real because it is.
And that right there is where this whole story just went off the rails.
Everyone is talking like this hill settles the whole story, but it doesn’t.
If the cores come back as rock, [music] then Christians really haven’t lost anything because Noah’s art can be completely real and the site could still be mud.
And if the cores come back as wood, then that would be the discovery of a lifetime.
But it still won’t force skeptics to concede that it actually is Noah’s [music] arc.
They still ask how old is it?
Who built it?
Or whether it was even a boat.
But no matter what happens, one fact still remains.
If you’re a Christian, the center of Christianity has never been a boat.
Instead, it’s a man who said he would rise from the dead and then in front of eyewitnesses who died refusing to take it back, he did.
That’s the ground under your feet.
And honestly, that’s one of the central turns in the whole flood story.
Right in the middle of all that water, Genesis says, “But God remembered Noah.”
Not Noah found high ground.
God remembered him and carried him through.
And he still does that for us today.
So this winter when those results drop, and they will, you can open them out of curiosity rather than fear.
If it’s the ark, incredible.
And if it’s rock, well, still nothing about Jesus has changed.
All right.
